What is Penile Atrophy?

Penile atrophy is a decrease in the size of the penis, caused by the extensive loss of penile tissue. Even though this organ typically increase and decrease in size during arousal, extreme temperatures, etc., in atrophy, the shrinkage is permanent. Tissue and muscle loss often occur when limited blood flow to the organ and other erectile dysfunction symptoms are left untreated. Basically, if you don’t use it, you lose it.

What is PRP?

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) received a lot of attention when professional athletes such as Stephen Curry, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kobe Bryant, Tiger Woods, Hines Ward, and many more, employed the healing power of platelets to relieve pain from sports injuries and accelerate the healing process.

Platelet Rich Plasma is derived from the patient’s blood. These platelets, which contain natural growth and healing factors, are administered to select areas of the donor/patient (joints, face, scalp, vagina, penis, scar tissue, etc.). The blood obtained from the patient is stored in a vial, and placed in a centrifuge machine that gradually separates the platelets from the blood cells.

PRP Penile Therapy

This is a safe and effective way to rejuvenate and rebuild body tissue because the platelets are derived from the patient, and the procedure employs the body’s unrivaled healing abilities to rejuvenate and rehabilitate the penis. Results are not short-lived as is often experienced with the pill. This is real penile rehabilitation and rejuvenation.
Benefits:
  • 100% Natural/Organic
  • No surgery
  • Quick in-office procedure
  • No scarring
  • Affordable and cost effective

The_Dangers_of_Over-the-Counter_OTC_Testosterone_Boosters-1-1.png

The Dangers of Over-the-Counter (OTC) Testosterone Boosters

Testosterone plays a number of important roles in the male body. It supports the development and maintenance of male sexual characteristics, the growth of muscle tissue, and it even supports motivation, sex drive, energy and good cognitive function. However, when levels become too high, testosterone can cause a wide variety of problems, and some of them can be serious or life-threatening. These abnormally elevated levels are typically achieved through OTC testosterone boosters, which are becoming increasingly popular among men with normal testosterone levels for their age. Here are some of the hazards associated with these products.

OTC ‘Natural’ Testosterone Boosters

These products don’t contain any actual hormones and are instead comprised of various exotic herbs. The dangers of natural testosterone boosters don’t come so much from increases in hormones, but from the products themselves. The ingredients in these products are poorly studied, unregulated and are not subjected to unbiased purity or quality controls. Indeed, no empirical evidence even exists that such supplements provide the intended effects. Some of the potential dangers of these products have been known to include:

  • Negative drug interactions with other supplements or medications
  • Heavy metal toxicity
  • Contamination with unknown toxic substances, either from the soil the herbs were grown in or from poor manufacturing processes
  • Neurological damage
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Negative effects on sleep, cognition, appetite, blood glucose and cardiovascular function

OTC Testosterone Injections

This is a growing area of anti-aging medicine that uses intramuscular injections of either synthetic or ‘natural’ versions of testosterone. Although these treatments were once reserved only for rare instances of truly low testosterone, they are now being acquired by men with levels well within the normal range as a way to increase energy levels, sex drive and muscle growth. The dangers of OTC testosterone injections in cases of irresponsible use include:

  • High blood pressure
  • Excessive Acne
  • Irritability, aggression and violent behavior
  • Increased risk of blood clots, heart attack and stroke
  • Aromatization (conversion) of excess testosterone into estrogen, which causes gynecomastia (male breast growth), water retention, anxiety, depression and emotional instability
  • Erectile dysfunction due to high blood pressure or estrogen overload
  • Degradation of tendons, ligaments and cartilage
  • Sleep apnea
  • Insomnia
  • Prostate enlargement and increased prostate cancer risk

Although testosterone is a necessary aspect of vitality and youthfulness in men, upsetting the body’s delicate natural balance of the hormone can be disastrous. If you suspect your testosterone levels are out of range (lower or higher), do not self-medicate. As stated earlier, OTC Testosterone boosters can be very dangerous. What_is_the_average_penis_size-_Where_do_you_stand-_Does_it_really_matter-.png

What is the average penis size? Where do you stand? Does it really matter?

Many women admit that they, at some point in their lives, were misinformed and had unrealistic expectations of the average penis size. Many men also admit that they, at some point in their lives, believed they were below average. Researchers credit this misinformation to pornography, stating that most porn stars do not reflect the average penis size. As a matter of fact, researchers believe that penile enhancement (penis enlargement) procedures are just as common in the porn industry as aesthetics and cosmetic surgery.

So where do you stand? In his interview with AskMen.com, Dr. Christopher Asandra explains how the different sizes measure up, and best sex positions for each one. View full transcript and graphic illustration.

NuMale Medical Center announced today that NeoGraft® hair replacement is available at the company’s offices nationwide. Led by Chief Medical Officer Christopher Asandra, MD, NuMale believes that this service will help meet patients’ needs, restoring confidence and improving relationships

NuMale Medical Center is excited to announce the company’s newest offering, a state-of-the-art solution for hair loss called NeoGraft®. A leader in medical treatments that restore men’s confidence and improve their relationships, NuMale will offer this important service at all of its offices nationwide.

Under the expert guidance of Chief Medical Officer Christopher Asandra, MD, NuMale treats men suffering from sexual dysfunction and aging-related conditions. Employing innovative techniques and FDA-approved therapies, NuMale helps men dealing with erectile dysfunction (ED), premature ejaculation (PE), low libido, and more. The addition of NeoGraft® represents an important addition to NuMale’s portfolio, bringing yet another life-changing service to the clinic.

50 million men and approximately 30 million women in the United States suffer from male/female pattern baldness or thinning hair. Many potential patients shy-away from the traditional “strip method” of hair replacement because of the slow recovery time, the loss of feeling at the incision site, the tiny linear scar on the back of the head, or the amount of post-operative pain involved.

“Offering NeoGraft® will enable us to have an even bigger impact on our patients,” said Dr. Asandra. “Men come to NuMale because they know we focus on treating people, not conditions. Our safe, effective procedures help revitalize our patients’ relationships and make them feel and look younger.”

NeoGraft® is a game changing technology that automates the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) method, giving patients more natural looking results with fewer negative effects. NeoGraft® is the least invasive procedure available for hair transplantation, and patients can typically return to work the day after the procedure with no stitches and minimal restrictions on activity.

To learn more about NuMale, or to schedule a consultation for NeoGraft®, patients can visit or call 866-205-8262.

How Men in Waukegan Can Benefit from NuMale’s Low-T Treatment

Testosterone is the male hormone responsible for the development of sexual characteristics, muscle mass, sense of well-being, and sexual function. It also helps promote healthy sperm production and protect against bone loss and heart disease. Men undergo andropause at the age of 30, which is the period of time when testosterone levels begin to drop about 1% per year. This is normal for most men, but others may experience symptoms such as fatigue and decreased sex drive that may interfere with daily life.

We specialize in diagnosing low testosterone and administering the optimal levels of the hormone to help you feel younger, stronger, and healthier again. The trained professionals at NuMale Medical Center specialize in physician regulated hormone therapy treatment, or testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). We have several treatment options available and and will help you choose the right program for you. Thanks to these medical advancements and healthier lifestyles, our patients are living longer, sexually active lives.

Symptoms of low testosterone include:

  • Decreased muscle tone and increased fat storages especially around the midsection
  • Loss of libido (sex drive) and sexual function (sometimes erectile dysfunction)
  • Loss of energy and motivation
  • Loss of mental clarity (“brain fog”)
  • Feeling fatigued, weak, and tired especially during the day
  • Depression, irritability, and mood swings
  • Decreased sense of well-being

Summary:

NuMale Medical Center, the nationwide leader in treating sexual dysfunction and aging-related conditions in men, announced today that it had successfully treated its 3,000th patient with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy. Founded and led by recognized expert Dr. Christopher Asandra, M.D., NuMale has provided the safest, most effective treatment to tens of thousands of men suffering from erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, hair loss and more.

NuMale Medical Center announced today that it has successfully treated its 3,000th patient with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy for sexual dysfunction and enhancement. The industry-leader in this proven, innovative medical therapy, NuMale has provided this procedure at all of its clinics since 2013.

PRP therapy is a nonsurgical medical treatment. The NuMale Eros Procedure employed by NuMale’s physicians utilizes the body’s own enriched blood platelets, called platelet rich fibrin matrix, or PRP. Blood is drawn from the patient and then spun in a state-of-the-art centrifuge to separate the PRP. Once this material is reintroduced into the affected tissue, patients can expect improved blood flow, enhanced sensitivity, and, often, increased length and girth. Unlike drug or surgical treatments, the NuMale Eros Procedure is a natural process with no harmful side effects, no repeat treatments, no risk of allergic reaction, and very fast recovery.

Since it began offering the NuMale Eros Procedure in 2013, NuMale has experienced growing demand for PRP services. Like all of its other treatments, NuMale relies on the latest in sound medical science and a customized treatment plan for PRP. Each patient at its clinics receives a comprehensive and confidential medical exam, and NuMale’s expert physicians design the best possible treatment plan to address that individual’s needs safely and effectively.

“PRP treatments like the NuMale Eros Procedure make a measurable difference for our patients,” said NuMale Medical Center Founder and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Christopher Asandra, M.D. “We’ve helped thousands of men with this procedure, and the results are really dramatic. It’s innovative and effective treatments like PRP that enable NuMale to restore our patients’ health, enhance their confidence, and improve their relationships.”

NuMale_Causes_of_Hair_Loss-1.jpg

There are several causes of hair loss.

1) Genetic Predisposition

Commonly referred to as male pattern baldness and androgenetic alopecia, this is the leading cause of hair loss. The hair follicles change and shrink overtime causing the typical M-shaped hairline.

2) Stress

Physical and psychological stress can temporarily off-set the balance of hormones in the body. Long term stress equals long term hormone imbalance, which will lead to hair loss.

3) Nutritional Deficiency

Deficiency in Iron, Vitamin B, Protein, etc., can cause hair loss. Learn more.

4) Medication

It is common knowledge that chemotherapy drugs can cause hair loss.  Thyroid medications, birth control pills, beta-blockers, etc., can lead to hair loss as well.

5) Scalp Infections

Various scalp infections like scalp fungus can cause hair loss.

6) Autoimmune Disease

This is when the body’s immune system destroys its own healthy cells, which includes the healthy hair follicles.

7) Hypothyroidism

The thyroid gland which is located below the voice box, plays a huge role in the release of various hormones that regulate the body’s metabolism. Hypothyroidism is the underproduction of certain hormones which alters the body’s metabolism, leading to hair loss.

8) Trichotillomania

This is the habitual plucking and pulling of the hair, which will obviously lead to bald spots.

9) Traction

This is typically caused by tightly pulled hair styles, like tight buns and cornrows.

10) Smoking

Hair loss is known to be a side effect off smoking, even though it is still unclear if it is caused by tobacco toxins or nicotine which constricts blood vessels.

11) Hormone Imbalance

There are several causes of hormone imbalance. These could be habits, diets, Low testosterone or just plain aging.

If you are experiencing hair loss, contact the NuMale Medical Center. We will determine the cause of your hair loss and offer a lasting solution.
